A large smooth-barked gum standing over coastal scrub with the sea behind it

From a single frond to a full removal.

Six things Urban Arborcare gets called out for around West Mackay, and exactly what each one involves.

The full list, in detail.

Same crew, same gear, same rake-out at the end, whichever one of these you need.

Tree Removal

Whole trees taken out, including the ones with nowhere to fall. Where there is no drop zone the tree is climbed and dismantled in sections, each piece roped down rather than dropped, so the fence, the shed and the pool stay exactly as they were.

  • Sectional dismantling on rope
  • Coconut and cocos palms taken right out
  • Timber cut down and carted away
  • Stump ground out in the same visit if you want

Tree Lopping & Pruning

Crown reduction, deadwooding, lifting the canopy off a roof, and clearing limbs back from gutters, powerlines and the neighbour's side of the fence. Cuts are placed so the tree recovers cleanly instead of throwing a mess of regrowth.

  • Crown reduction and shaping
  • Deadwood and hangers taken out
  • Limbs cleared off roofs, gutters and fences

Palm Cleaning & Removal

Wet season turns a neglected palm into a skirt of dead fronds and a lot of falling seed pods. We climb them, strip the dead material out and cart it off, or take the whole palm out at ground level if it has simply got too big for the spot.

  • Dead fronds and seed pods cleared
  • Coconut and cocos palms handled
  • Whole palm removal, roots and all
  • Fronds chipped or carted, not left in a pile

Stump Grinding

The grinder takes the stump down below the surface so you can turf over it, mulch it or plant something better in its place. No more mower-killing lump in the middle of the lawn and nothing left to sprout back.

  • Ground out below surface level
  • Grindings raked back into the hole or removed
  • Works in tight side yards and back corners
  • Can be done on its own, not just after a removal

Mulching & Green Waste

Everything that comes off the tree goes through the chipper on site. Take the mulch for your own garden beds if you want it, or it all leaves with the truck. Either way the driveway gets swept and the lawn gets raked.

  • Branches chipped on site
  • Mulch left for your beds or taken away
  • Timber loaded onto the tipper
  • Driveway swept and lawn raked out

Work Platform Access

A trailer-mounted elevated work platform for the jobs that are too high, too brittle or too awkward to climb. It gets us straight up to the limbs, which is faster, steadier and a lot safer around powerlines and roofs.

  • Trailer-mounted lift, towed in and set up on site
  • Reaches high limbs and dead timber safely
  • Good for work over roofs and driveways
  • Climbing used instead where access is tight

Palms and coastal scrub above a blue bay

Tropical trees grow fast, and drop hard.

Up here a palm can go from tidy to a hazard in a season, and a mango or a gum can put on enough weight over a wet summer to take a limb out. Getting it looked at early is nearly always cheaper than getting it cleaned up afterwards. Ring Dave and get a number on it.

Can you get to a tree in a tight backyard?

Usually, yes. If a machine cannot get in, the tree gets climbed and taken down in sections on rope. Where access allows, the trailer-mounted work platform is towed in and lifts us straight to the limbs.

Do you take the timber and green waste away?

Yes. Branches go through the chipper on site and the timber leaves on the tipper. If you would rather keep the mulch for your garden beds, say so and we will drop it where you want it.

Can I get just the stump ground out?

Absolutely. The stump grinder can come out on its own for a stump someone else left behind, not only after one of our removals.

How do I get a price?

Call or text Dave on 0438 107 925 and he will come and look at it. The quote is free, there is no obligation, and you get the number before any work starts.
